RE: My Order: Great Customer Service

I have several of their copper plant trays that I use instead of plant saucers. They look good and do not leak or turn green.
Last week I ordered two more of these tray sets. A few hours after I placed the order, I discovered that I needed a third set.
The person I spoke to at Gardener's was very pleasant and accommodating. Although she could not change the original order, she gave me a discount on the second order in order to minimize the increase in shipping costs that would be generated by having two orders instead of one.

Poor customer service and

I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
But, the reviews about poor customer service are consistent with my experience.
Many of their products are nothing more that orders through a third party vendor.
Buyer beware--- if you like inflated prices and poor customer service they are for you. Otherwise, steer clear.

Poor Customer Service - Shipping Issues

Placed an order for tomato cages on May 15. Finally received an email on May 28 stating that a FedEx label was created and ready to ship with a delivery date of June 2. On June 1 I called GS customer service because when I clicked on the tracking number it showed that my package had not moved. Customer service told me to wait a few more days and that FedEx was not displaying the tracking. I then called FedEx who verified that they had not received the package. As of June 4 my package was never received by FedEx. When calling Gardeners Supply customer service again and telling them that the package was not received as I had verified this with a FedEx representative, Gardeners Supply then stated that they were having issues with their warehouse, staff shortage, illness, etc. I requested a refund and was then told they would charge me a fee then I was transferred to another person who stated I could not receive a refund at all. Then again onto another customer service staff who finally refunded me my money after I threatened to call my bank and register a complaint. I will never place an order for anything with this company. If they cannot fill orders then stop taking them. Also, there is nothing mentioned on their website regarding shipping delays. Poor way to do business.

We purchased the somerset metal raised…

We purchased the somerset metal raised bed. It was an absolute piece of junk. It took a while to get it delivered. The metal is so flimsy that it bows while trying to put it together. Some moron put the nuts on the steel with paint unevenly. This made it very difficult to put together. We did a review 5 days ago and it still isn’t available for others to see. I will never purchase anything from them again.

Somerset metal raised bed a piece of junk

We purchased a galvanized steel raised bed. One would expect a durable well made product. What we received was a piece of flimsy junk. I will never purchase anything from them again. Buyers beware!

Guarantee? What guarantee?

I have been a customer of Gardners Supply for almost 15 years. Loved their products until this year. Probably 10 years ago, I bought a veg trug. A large planter box for on the deck. Guaranteed satisfaction for life! Shouldn't need any sealant ever. However about 6 years ago I resealed it with the recommended Eco sealant anyway since I had emptied it. I bought about $400 in upgrades this year and had to empty it again. Massive damage from carpenter ants! The ants would not have shown interest if it had not been rotted, Emailed. Response boils down to: they do not guarantee their expensive wood products (despite the fact it doesn't say that anywhere on the website), the expensive sealant doesn't seal, and they would rather get back their expensive upgrades and loose a customer than spend their cost to replace the grower I would have bought products for for another 10 plus years. Very short sighted and fraudulent practices. Buy elsewhere.

Pitiful service and dont give a damn

Item ordered 3 days ago hasnt even shipped. Said they take up to 6 fays to ship sn order but they have a labor shortage and it is now taking 2 weeks (9 business days) and in the meantime i have varmints eating my seedlings. Never bothered to send ne a notice and will not cover costs to expedite shipping methods even though it is their failure, not mine. Will not order from them again.

DON'T order from this website!!!

DON'T order online from this website. They supposedly messed up the credit card payment at the time of order, shipped the item anyway, then emailed me 2 months after the order had already arrived to tell me I need to give them my credit card number manually so they charge me again OR they will send my account to Collections.

EXCEPT guess what? When I check my credit card bill from 2 months ago, the full charge from gardeners.com is on the bill. When I called back to show them the bill, they said that's not what happened on their end and I still need to give them my credit card number manually so they can charge me again OR they will send my account to Collections.

DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

(More) Bad Customer Service

Waited 3 months for my order and when it came I was overcharged for their already high shipping. However, they charge your credit card immediately. It took many calls to resolve the problem and I was told that I would be refunded in approximately a month IF they determined I was overcharged. Very frustrating, I will never do business with them again. Everything about this company is designed to benefit them and take advantage of the consumer.

Buyer beware of what your ordering

I ordered a moon gate in June 25th - i never received an email or anything reqarding when this would be delivered. Called Gardeners Supply - they were very freindly and explained this was from a thrid party vendor. I called again asking when?? couldnt give me any info said theyd try and reach them. I finally got an email saying it would be delivered by a tractor trailer truck- finally recieved my order on 8/11/21 I would definitely recommend calling to place an order to see if its actually available and if its coming directly from them and not a 3rd party vendor.

A:

They're one of two businesses who currently stock heavy duty tomato cages. Now that we finally have those, hopefully we'll never need to shop there again.

Legit company. At first I had heard good things about them but looking at other reviews they haven't scored very highly, I had a very bad experience with them and would not recommend them to anyone.

How easy is it to get a hold of customer service at Gardener's Supply Company?

A:

VERY DIFFICULT! If you actually get through they put you on hold forever, customer service employees have no idea what's going on. If you do email you have to send multiple emails before you get a reply then you will get conflicting information.
